There is no denying that we are now living in one of the most tumultuous times in human history.

This extra noise pollution doesn't just create extreme annoyance in us. Rather, noise pollution causes many problems, such as heart disease, fatigue, loss of work, and hearing loss.

Humans are not the only animals in the world that suffer from noise pollution. As a result of this pollution, whales are no longer able to call underwater in a sonar manner, birds are changing the way they call, and bats are not able to find food as efficiently as before.

Mainly due to the advancement of technology so much noise pollution! But again it is possible to reduce this pollution by using technology.

Let's take a look at 4 noise cancellation technologies that may solve some of the noise pollution problems very quickly.

1. Reduce noise by keeping windows open

Researchers at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore have found a solution to noise pollution. They are using noise canceling headphones in the windows to reduce the noise.

This is done by first using a microphone to collect the sound waves outside the window. They are then sent an out-of-phase wave to cancel.

To do this, the researchers connected the window to a grid of speakers, which included a processor and a microphone. With windows open, the system can cancel up to 50 percent of the noise.

2. ‘Selective Hearing’: A Quick Way to Cancel Noise

Researchers at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign have come up with an excellent way to completely reduce noise or noise. This is why they are taking the help of IoT technology.

This technology works by placing a wireless microphone near the sound source. And near the listener's ear is another device of noise cancellation. The signal from a wireless microphone can travel faster than the speed of sound. So the emitter device near the listener's ear (through which the wave is emitted) has enough time to create a reverse wave.

Those who work at the desk, how many kinds of sounds come to the ears of the people around, like the sound of horn, fan or AC! These words again come from different directions. To give peace to the ear, this device should be worn on the back of the ear and not inside the ear. In this way, the device introduces us in a new way to the method of ‘selective hearing’.

3. Foam zone

Anyone who has been to a four-walled music concert or event must have noticed that high pitches or sharp sounds hit the wall. However, beige or thick tones can be heard on the other side of the wall. Now researchers in Russia and Korea have come up with a new foam that can block even the sound of beige or low frequency.

They are using the conventional foam of the market for soundproofing. However, they are using nanopowder. These nanoparticles produce many nanochannels, which can absorb sound.

These nanoparticles turn sound into heat. The cost of the whole process is much lower. According to researchers, the foam they make is 60 to 100 percent more effective at reducing noise than conventional foams.

4. All affordable ways to reduce noise

A researcher named Jiu Yang from Hong Kong has created a very simple and low cost panel that can absorb sound much better than any wall. All it takes is a frame, a screen, and a platelet of any substance.

Young has recently developed another new method to reduce the noise of machines that work with air flow, such as air conditioners. In this method a tube is used which has another tube inside. Each of the tubes has an open mouth on the opposite side. Noise is absorbed in this manner but no obstruction is created in the air circulation.
